Enchanting Getaway at Sheraton Perdana
Imagine a garden of tropical wonders submerged in the warm waters where the Straits of Malacca meets the Andaman Sea - a place where throngs of white banded, clown fish peep from the wistful violet anemones. Sea plants sway vividly to the demands of the moon stirred currents, whilst shoals of pivoting angel fish dance across the ocean floor.
An enchanting holiday here in the coral isles, must begin with a dreamy stay at the Sheraton Perdana. Located strategically near the Kuah jetty, Sheraton Perdana offers exclusive 5 star resort accommodation. Set above a sprawling lawn that runs down to three oases of sparkling blue water and cupped by spurting fountains, this resort is an idyllic getaway. Fringed by coconut trees, the azure skyline is stained only by the petals of the pink bougainvillea which float upon the summery breeze, scenting the air with the fresh fragrance of life, and hinting lightly of the treasures to come. One such treasure is Sheraton Perdana"s exclusive escape, the Jentayu Villa is simply breathtaking, with its glass walls opening up onto shimmering reflection pools, bordered by huge urns. A fusion of Japanese, Malay and contemporary architecture, this teak wonder blends well with Sheraton Perdana"s style of refined grace. The villa comprises one master bedroom and four identical suites, a magnificent dining hall and living room, as well as a private swimming pool, set upon a smooth beach of pearly white sand.
The marble floored dining hall and living room, bathed in the light of giant lamps, and draped with plush turquoise and beige carpets, provides a cozy place to while away a steamy afternoon. The white sofas replete with colorful cushions beckon invitingly. This is a place made for surrender- surrender of the senses and the self. All that remains is pure bliss. For a change, guests who desire a more restaurant-like feel, are welcome to leave their sanctuary and wander down to dine at the Sambar Ria. Situated upon a little hill that runs down to the beach, and set in three layered rings, the Sambar Ria offers gorgeous breezy al fresco dining. The furthest ring, shaded by white flower like canopies, is the best spot to revel in the tropical breeze. At night, the cobblestone floor is lit by the warm glow of lamps, lending a romantic feel to the airy dining hall. With a breathtaking view of the ocean, dotted by passing boats and the sporadic blinking of the green light house in the distance, Sambar Ria proffers quiet contemplative scenery.
To cap the night off, Sheraton Perdana is also home to the most exciting night spot in town, Someplace Else, or better known as SPE. With a live band playing contemporary tunes and classics that get the floor jumping, SPE draws in the crowd all night long. The oval wooden island bar whips up cocktails in brilliant hues, complementing the colourful feel of the nightspot, for a night of tropical, seaside fun. For the adventure seeker, the solace seeker, treasure seeker or those who are simply lost, it all begins here.
