Eco-Luxury in Langkawi

The Tanjung Rhu Resort offers a class of travel that can only be described as eco-luxury. Set in "1100 acres of poetry", it offers fine accommodation with lots of natural woods and local marble bathrooms. The interiors blend almost seemlessly with the outdoor dining and pool areas which spill onto the beach and overlook the lagoon. It was voted as one of the Top 50 Most Romantic Destinations In The World by Travel + Leisure magazine (2001) Tanjung Rhu offers a selection guest activities - all of which are nature based. In keeping with an eco-resort, there are only non-motorised watersports such as sea kayaking and hydrobikes. Other options range from mountain biking through villages to a mangrove discovery tour. Alternatively take a boat trip from the jetty adjacent to the resort to see the fish farms, bat caves and crab eating monkeys foraging along the shoreline.
