The Mysterious Caves of Langkawi reveals a fabulous array of stalactites. Around the cave is an abundance of trees,creepers, ferns and palms, providing a pleasant and serene environment. Stalactites and not stalagmites are predominant,with a huge serpent-like one hanging down from the roof.

Set on 6.2 acres of land on the superbly landscaped beachfront of Pantai Cenang. Features over 5,000 varieties of fish and other exhibits from 500 species displayed in over 100 tanks. Highlights include the gigantic hexagonal tank and walk-through tunnel tank containing six million litres of sea water. Here you can observe sharks, stingrays, huge turtles and other sea creatures swim by, separated from you only by the laminated clear glass walls of the tunnel.
The centrepiece of the site is a huge and splendid statue of the reddish brown eagle after which Langkawi is named. According to local folklore "Kawi" in old Malay means reddish-brown eagle and "Lang" is the shortened term for helang (eagle). Hence Langkawi is known as the "Eagle State" The tranquillity and soft, cool sea breezes make this picturesque spot a great place for leisurely strolls or a romantic dinner in one of the nearby restaurants.

Memorial for Mahsuri, she was a fair maiden who was wrongly accused of adultery and hastily sentenced to death. Legend has it that no weapon could kill her until they used Mahsuri's own kris (traditional Malay dagger).
Now located near Langkawi International Airport and the Atma Alam Batik Village, this was once the site of Kampung Raja, the ancient capital of Langkawi. Padang Matsirat or Field of Burnt Rice was also the village granary. Just when Langkawi fell into the hands of the Siamese in 1821, Datuk Karma Jaya ordered the burning of the granary to starve the enemy.

Located at Datai Bay, about 32 kilometres north of Kuah, the Crocodile Farm is one of the many popular attractions on the island. Covering 20 acres of land, it has more than 1,000 species of crocodiles and alligators. An exhibition centre displays the life cycle of the reptile, and specimens as well as pictures of every conceivable aspect of crocodiles.
The beautifully landscaped 50-acre garden is a showcase of Langkawi's myths and legends. The scenic park, abundant with lush and colourful tropical blooms, plants and fruit trees, houses some fine examples of traditional Malaysian handicrafts and cultural objects.

Summer Palace Langkawi is situated amidst lush tropical greenery at Pantai Kok, on the north western coastline. In 1999, 20th Century Fox commissioned the construction of this magnificent and expensive movie set for the making of the film 'Anna and the King'.
Built almost entirely of local timbers by local and foreign artisans, the Summer Palace resembles a traditional Thai Palace. The palace encompasses an area of 675 square metres and stands 16.6 metres high. Apart from the original movie set, a restaurant, souvenir shops and pavilion have been added.
