Four Season Langkawi
The allure of Langkawi begins before you even set foot on the ground. Upon descent from the aircraft, the azure blue waters that frame the emerald green islands of Langkawi are tonic enough to instantly put any traveler into relaxation mode.
Situated off the north west coast of mainland Malaysia, Langkawi is an archipelago of 99 islands in the Andaman Sea, many of which are punctuated by powdery white beaches and crystal clear waters.Four Seasons Resort Langkawi, Malaysia will be set on one of Langkawi's best beaches, Tanjung Rhu. The Resort's guest rooms are designed in the style of traditional Malaysian village homes with high ceilings made of ironwood shingles, timber floors and large verandas. The decor is inspired by Malaysian art in orange and green tones, reflective of the vegetation surrounding the Resort. The 20 spacious, 2,000 square foot Beachfront Villas come with private pools, reflecting ponds and dedicated spa treatment rooms. Plasma televisions in each villa are an additional diversion. Many of the pavilion-style guest rooms feature outdoor garden showers and terrazzo soaking tubs.
Central to the Resort will be an extensive, full-service spa offering Malaysian and Indonesian massages, Ayurvedic treatments from India and ancient Chinese therapies, reflecting the multicultural nature of the country. Part of the spa is a separate pavillion where guests can practice yoga or meditation.
Three restaurants and a bar will offer both elegant dining and casual fare. The Resort's cultural centre will celebrate the history and rich traditions of the Malaysian people. And with two floodlit tennis courts, a fitness centre, Kids For All Seasons facility and access to horseback riding, diving, snorkeling and jungle hiking, a Langkawi getaway can be as active or leisurely as one's choosing.
