Malaysia Set to Be Best Organiser Again
Malaysia looks set to again win the award as the best organiser of the F1 Powerboat World Championships. Yesterday, the international promoter of the powerboat race, Nicolo di San Germano, just could not find any fault in the Malaysian organisation of the eighth leg of the World Championships. I just cannot spot a fault.
I have been to almost all the venues and Malaysia stands out as the best organiser. I am impressed with the way things are done here, said San Germano at the Putrajaya Lake Club here yesterday. For the last three years, Malaysia has won award for best organiser the only country to have won the award for three consecutive times. Meanwhile, H20 Sports managing director Datuk Yahya A. Jalil said all security measures had been taken to ensure the smooth running of the two-day race. A massive crowd, estimated at about 150,000, is expected to swarm the venue over the next two days.
