Langkawi District Officer Gives Up Other Post
The Langkawi district officer no longer doubles up as president of the Langkawi Municipal Council.
The change came into effect in March so that more focus could be given to further develop the island as a major tourist destination, Kedah Housing and Local Government Committee chairman Datuk Ahmad Bashah Md Hanipah said yesterday.
The current district officer is Mohd Puat Mohd Ali while the municipal council president is Ahmad Fisol Md Nor.
