24 NOVEMBER - DARWIN-BALI-LANGKAWI YACHT RALLY The Grand Finale of the Darwin-Bali-Langkawi Yacht Rally and the final leg of the Raja Muda Selangor International Regatta reach their heady conclusion in Langkawi waters. Participation in the Yacht Rally is predicted to exceed the already high numbers for 2005, with over 120 expressions of interest and 60 confirmed entries to date. 4-9 FEBRUARY 2007 ROYAL LANGKAWI INTERNATIONAL REGATTA One of SE Asia's leading annual regattas hosted by Royal Langkawi Yacht Club. Malaysia's premier sailing event, the RLIR is a part of the Asian Regatta Calendar drawing regular boats as well as new participants who actively race in regional yacht circuits. RLIR consists of two main trophies – the Prime Minister's Challenge Trophy and the Commodore's Challenge Cup. The former is open to internationally registered yachts while club-registered cruisers compete in the latter category. Two other trophies - the Langkawi Sports Trophy and the Malaysian Multihull Challenge Cup - will be presented to winners of the Sports Boat and Multihull categories. Sailing groups wishing to participate can charter yachts locally to take part of this thrilling and fun event and its round of great parties.
